Disinfection is a set of measures aimed at the destruction of pathogens of various infectious diseases and toxins in the external environment. There are the following types of disinfection:
- preventive, which is carried out regardless of the presence of infectious diseases. In educational and preschool institutions (schools, swimming pools, baths, showers, in common areas);
- current, the effect of which extends to the entire period of the infectious patient’s stay in the room (home, hospital). Cleaning, soaking dishes, linen;
- final, carried out after hospitalization, recovery or death of the patient. All the same measures are carried out as during the current disinfection. Bedding is processed in disinfection chambers.
Disinfection methods:
- mechanical;
- physical;
- chemical.
IPM
CPG practices a comprehensive approach to pest control – IPM.
IPM is a comprehensive approach, a comprehensive, continuous and active cycle of the three most important measures focused on prevention, including:
– assessment of the situation through a thorough inspection (Inspection);
– implementation of control measures with and without chemicals (Prevention);
– monitoring the effectiveness of the program (Monitoring).
This environmentally responsible approach, introduced by world leaders in the field of Pest Control, is now available in Poland.
